Fr. Abraham Poovathummoottil Thommy joined St. Joseph Parish as Parochial Vicar in October 2024. With a deep commitment to spiritual formation and parish life, he serves both the English- and Spanish-speaking communities of our church.
Born in India and ordained as a priest in the Diocese of Sacramento, Fr. Abraham has served in various pastoral roles across Northern California, including as Parochial Vicar, Parish Administrator, and Chancellor. Before arriving in Vacaville, he ministered at Our Lady of Snows Parish and other diocesan communities.
Fr. Abraham is known for his kind and attentive pastoral care, engaging homilies, and dedication to the Eucharist. He works closely with parish ministries, sacramental programs, and pastoral outreach—especially in faith formation, RCIA, and hospital ministry.

In all he does, Fr. Abraham encourages parishioners to grow deeper in relationship with Christ and one another, nurturing a vibrant, welcoming parish rooted in the Gospel.
