OCIA means Order of Christian Initiation of Adults.
It is the Catholic Church’s process for adults who want to:
- Become Catholic
- Learn more about the Catholic faith
- Receive Baptism, First Communion, and/or Confirmation
- Return to the Church after being away
- Deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church
OCIA is not just a class. It is a journey of faith where the parish accompanies people through prayer, teaching, community, conversion, and preparation for the Sacraments.
You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning OCIA. Whether you are ready to become Catholic or simply have questions, you are welcome to take the first step and explore the faith with us.
