Faith Formation & Sacramental Preparation
At St. Joseph Parish, faith formation is a shared journey. Our family-centered approach encourages children and parents to grow together in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Faith Formation is more than a weekly class—it is a lifelong commitment to living the Catholic faith both at home and within our parish community.
Building a Life of Faith
Faith Formation is rooted in developing a lifelong relationship with Christ through worship, prayer, learning, and service. Families are encouraged to actively participate in parish life by:
- Attending Sunday and Holy Day Mass.
- Receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation regularly.
- Praying together as a family each day.
- Practicing Christian stewardship through the sharing of time, talent, and treasure.
Sacramental Preparation
Sacramental Preparation is a two-year journey of faith that prepares children to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and later Confirmation.
Children typically begin preparation for First Holy Communion in 1st Grade and continue their faith journey toward Confirmation beginning in 7th Grade.
Each sacrament marks an important milestone in a child’s relationship with Christ, strengthening their faith and deepening their participation in the life of the Church.
