Faith Formation

Faith Formation & Sacramental Preparation

At St. Joseph Parish, faith formation is a shared journey. Our family-centered approach encourages both children and parents to grow in faith together. It’s more than a class—it’s a way of living the faith at home and in the parish community.

Key foundations of faith formation include:
– Attending Sunday and Holy Day Masses
– Regular confession throughout the year
– Daily prayer and devotion at home
– Practicing stewardship of time, talent, and treasure

Sacramental Preparation is a two-year process that prepares children to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and later, Confirmation. Children typically begin First Communion in 1st grade and Confirmation in 7th grade.

Each Sacrament is a meaningful step in a child’s walk with Christ, deepening their relationship with God and their connection to the Church.
